Maria Miller

My experience includes claim submissions, denial appeals and disputes, insurance credentialing, revenue management, client invoicing, and authorization requests. I am also trained in EPIC Systems and the Global Assessment of Individual Needs (GAIN) Screening, which I gained experience with while working as a court-designated advocate for juveniles. I enjoy the investigative side of medical billing and love being presented with a challenge that requires a little digging and problem-solving. There is nothing more rewarding than tracking down an issue, finding a solution, and knowing I’ve helped make things run a little more smoothly. I also plan to pursue a medical coding certification in 2027 to continue expanding my knowledge and skills.

Outside of work, I’m a Kentucky native with a lot of creative interests! I enjoy making recycled paper, attending and cosplaying at Renaissance festivals, miniature canvas painting, photography for small businesses, candle-making, sewing, and producing original music. I also love playing my Nintendo, and I’m currently spending time in Stardew Valley. I definitely enjoy keeping busy and finding new creative outlets!
